His professional roots are in Admiralty and maritime law where he began practice in New York City with the former law firm founded by the late C.C. Burlingham (1858-1959). That practice has continued to the present and comprises both contentious and non-contentious matters. Additionally, he has handled complex commercial and multi-jurisdictional litigation matters as a partner in a prominent multinational law firm, with offices from Texas to the UK to Europe, following a stint as senior litigation counsel for a Fortune 50 international conglomerate. With Bynane & Co, his practice focuses on international disputes and transactions (S&P), with particular emphasis on marine casualties and related insurance issues.
